I’d envisioned a shoot like this for a while, but for one reason or another—maybe a lack of drive, direction, or both—I never actually acted on it.
Eventually, I found both.
I reached out to my friend to see if she’d be up for modeling, and from there, we were off to the races. I rented out the Garland Theater in Spokane, WA, for a few hours and started piecing together the vision I’d had in my head.
I knew I wanted the majority of the shoot to be shot on film, and more specifically, medium format. So we loaded up on film, brought along some studio lights, packed both film and digital cameras, and made the most of the few hours we had.
This is what we came up with.
