Personal: PLaying With Film

I picked up my first few film cameras in a small vintage store in Corvallis, Oregon back in 2021. The cameras had been sitting on my shelf looking beautiful and crispy collecting dust, because as a digital photographer, the prospect of shooting film scared the living hell out of me. However the time came to suck it up and dive in. So I picked up my first few rolls of film and I did what I always do when learning something new…I went to Youtube. After some courage I loaded the first roll of film and headed for downtown Spokane. It was fun and exciting and I went home feeling satisfied that I had conquered something new. The time, however, came to send my four rolls of film to go be developed. That’s when the novelty wore off. Only two of my four my rolls of film actually got exposed and half of those exposed photos I actually liked. Let me tell you though…those two rolls of film made me happy enough to buy more and thus my love of film begins. Here are some of the curated shots that made the wait, the money, the failure worth it for me.
